2. What data we collect on this website
None directly. This website has no contact forms, no newsletter sign-up, no user accounts and no analytics or advertising trackers. We do not sell or share personal data.
3. Hosting (technical data)
The website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. When you visit, Netlify's servers automatically process technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the website securely and protect it from abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (art. 6.1.f GDPR). Netlify acts as our data processor and may process data outside the EU under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
4. Reservations and messages
When you book a table you are taken to Restoo, our booking provider, where you enter your name, contact details and a guarantee card. That data is used to manage your reservation and, if applicable, the no-show fee or prepayment described in our booking policy. Legal basis: taking steps to enter into a contract at your request (art. 6.1.b GDPR). Card details are handled by Restoo and its payment provider; we do not see or store your full card number.
If you message us on WhatsApp (for example for groups of more than 12), we use your number and messages only to answer you and manage your request. WhatsApp's own privacy policy also applies.
5. Other links
Links to Instagram, Facebook, Google Maps, Waze and The Hive Gran Canaria take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies. Nothing from them is loaded until you click.
6. How long we keep data
Reservation data is kept for as long as needed to manage your booking and to meet our legal obligations (for example tax and accounting rules), and then deleted. WhatsApp conversations are deleted when they are no longer needed. Netlify's technical logs are kept for a short period by Netlify.
7. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability, by writing to thetipsybee.gc@gmail.com with a copy of an identity document. You also have the right to complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), www.aepd.es.
